I asked my husband to guy this for me since I had a ton of sterling silver jewelry that was tarnished and I never wore anymore. It is a great cloth, easy to use and took the tarnish off no problem. I even had a pair of earrings that were BLACK with tarnish. It does seem that it works differently on different items that are sterling though.
