I ordered this item for my 12 year old daughter, who has numerous pairs of earrings and needed something to organize them. This seemed like a great item and the 1 review was excellent. When the item arrived, I opened it to check it and found that one of the hinges was broken. I returned it and ordered a second one. When the second one arrived, it also had a broken hinge. Won't order a third one. For the price, I expected something a little sturdier. I guess I should have realized that Acrylic is just a fancy word for plastic.
